Improved Phoenix. Late-ripening, bee-pollinated variety of open ground of universal purpose. Begins to bear fruit on day 55-65 from germination. The fruit is large, tuberous, 12-16 cm long, weighing 120-180 g, does not turn yellow. Fruits before frost. One of the most resistant varieties to powdery mildew. Recommended for conservation and processing.
In fruiting cucumbers are best grown after cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers. The soil should be light in mechanical composition, loose, well filled with organic fertilizers.
