The drug (in the form of tablets) is intended for use against fleas and ticks in dogs.
Sarolaner is active against adult fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, S.felis), some types of ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes hexagonus, I. ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Sarcoptes scabiei). Laboratory studies have shown the activity of Sarolaner against such ticks as Dermacentor variabilis, Ixodes scapularis, Amblyomma americanum, A. maculatum, as well as Demodex canis and Otodectes cynotis ticks.
After using the drug, Sarolaner shows activity against fleas after 8 hours, and against ticks (Ixodes ricinus) after 12 hours and continues for 35 days after use. The drug acts on all types of fleas that parasitize dogs, causes their death before the moment of laying eggs, which prevents flea eggs from contaminating the places of residence of animals affected by fleas.
