Pumpkin charlotte is an original variation on the classic charlotte, in which the usual apples are complemented by sweet and juicy pumpkin. The pastry is soft, fragrant and very bright in taste. Simple ingredients, which are easy to order on Zakaz.ua, are transformed into a cosy homemade dessert.


Tip

To make the flavour even more intense, you can add a little cinnamon or ground ginger to the dough.

Preparation steps

Prepare the apples and pumpkin (12 minutes). Core the apples and cut them into slices. Cut the pumpkin into small cubes.

Mix the liquid ingredients (5 minutes). In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the kefir and vegetable oil and mix.

Combine the dry ingredients (3 minutes). In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt.

Knead the dough (5 minutes). Gradually add the dry mixture to the liquid mixture, stirring gently with a spatula until smooth.

Prepare the pan (2 minutes). Grease the pan with butter and line the bottom with parchment paper, if desired.

Assemble the pie (3 minutes). Place some of the apples and pumpkin on the bottom of the pan and pour half of the dough over them. Spread the remaining apples and pumpkin on top and pour the remaining dough over them.

Bake (35–40 minutes). Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180 °C. Bake until golden brown. Check for doneness with a skewer — it should come out dry.

Cool and serve (5 minutes). Allow the pie to cool slightly, remove from the pan, cut into portions and serve with tea or coffee.
